A Story Rooted in the Land
Gerga’s story began in Aydın, on the land where figs have been part of our lives for generations. Our aim is to make the flavorful figs of this region, along with the products we create from them, accessible to everyone. We see figs not simply as a product, but as a valuable part of the land we live on, its culture of production, and the knowledge passed down to us.
Inspired by the Past
Gerga was the name of an ancient city located in Çine, Aydın. We draw our inspiration from the history of this land and the cultural heritage carried by Gerga. Figs have grown naturally in Aydın for centuries, developing their distinctive flavor in this unique geography. Inspired by this heritage, we continue our work in fig cultivation and aim to carry this value from the past into the future.
All We Do Is Figs
Today at Gerga, we approach figs as a whole. We work with fig saplings, fresh and dried figs, as well as processed fig products, placing strong emphasis on research and development. We are constantly exploring, producing and experimenting to create new and innovative products from figs. At the same time, through our export activities, we aim to bring our figs and fig-based products to customers around the world.
